Our Mission

The Jermik Ankyun Foundation provides safe, community-based homes and person-centered support for adults with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, empowering those transitioning from institutional care to build lives of dignity, independence, belonging, and hope.

Who We Are

Founded in 2008, Jermik Ankyun Foundation provides community-based alternatives to institutional care in Armenia. Today the Foundation operates three small group homes and provides permanent, round-the-clock support for 42 adults while advancing innovative, rights-based social service models focused on independence, supported employment, and community inclusion.

More Than Just Shelter

We believe every person deserves more than a roof over their head. Our residents have privacy, meaningful relationships, opportunities to make choices, and a genuine sense of belonging in a place they can truly call home.

Why This Work Matters

Although Armenia has made significant progress toward community-based care, many adults with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities still live in isolation. Jermik Ankyun is helping demonstrate that every person deserves the opportunity to live in a home, participate in the community, and shape their own future.

Current Priorities

• Expand the B2E Supported Employment Program.
• Complete home improvements and accessibility projects.
• Reopen pottery and carpet-weaving workshops.
• Build partnerships and recruit U.S. Board members.
